What You'll Need
You can evaluate and deploy SchoonerSQL whether your database is on hard drives, flash drives, or a SAN. SchoonerSQL delivers exceptional results on hard drives and SAN, and it's even more astonishing with flash memory. On the other hand, Membrain is optimized for and requires flash memory. For each product you will need:
- A supported Intel x86 server running Red Hat Linux or CentOS. Learn more.
- Enough processor cores and DRAM. Learn more.
You may evaluate and deploy SchoonerSQL on a server that also runs other applications. Some customers have evaluated SchoonerSQL under a VM, but VMs are not supported for production use.
Membrain must be evaluated and deployed on a dedicated server. Do not run Membrain under a VM either for an evaluation or production use.
We test our software on multiple HP, Dell, and IBM boxes, but we can't test on every conceivable configuration. Our product documentation includes Tuning Guides to help you choose the right configuration for your environment.
Getting Your Software License Key
