Each Schooner Appliance is delivered on an IBM System x3650 M2. This is IBM's flagship 2U server, based on the Intel Xeon processor. It's engineered for high reliability, with an energy-smart design for exceptional, cost-effective application computing, and easy administration. It includes QuickPath Interconnect technology and a novel Integrated Management Module (IMM) for easy admin and troubleshooting. The x3650 works, reliably, for the most demanding jobs.
Each standard Schooner Appliance is delivered with dual four-core Intel Xeon processors, 64 GB of DRAM, and 512 GB of Schooner-optimized Intel X25-E SSDs (flash drives). The Schooner MySQL Appliance is also available with 1 TB of flash.
The Schooner MySQL Appliance comes with 4 x 1-Gb Ethernet ports and 4 x 300 GB SAS hard drives.
The Schooner Memcached Appliance comes with 8 x 1-Gb Ethernet ports and 1 x 10-Gb port.
