Schooner is innovating and delivering its solutions in a very dynamic market. A lot of smart and creative people around the world are part of this process and a source of progress. Here's a short list of useful non-Schooner sources relevant to various aspects of our MySQL and NoSQL software products.

MySQL.com: This is the official web site for MySQL, the world's most popular open-source database, now owned by Oracle Corporation. Also check out the MySQL blog hosted by the MySQL organization.

MySQL Performance Blog: This is another excellent resource, managed by Schooner's partner Percona, the staff of which are world-renowned experts in MySQL performance optimization.

Memcached.org: This is the official site of the memcached open-source project. Schooner's Membrain software is 100% memcapable memcached, with true persistence and enterprise-grade synchronous replication and failover.

nosql-database.org: This is one of the best sites to track the many of the large number of NoSQL database projects being developed. NoSQL covers a lot of territory, with widely varying consistency and data integrity properties, since they're intended to solve different problems than those solved by full relational databases such as MySQL, Oracle, or DB2. Schooner's Membrain software offers a persistent NoSQL data store based on the memcached protocol. Schooner will enhance and extend our solution as we work with customers and NoSQL database contributors and see what protocols/APIs customers embrace and value.

highscalability.com: This is a good blog entitled "High Scalability: Building bigger, faster, more reliable websites," full of interesting opinions and useful technical content. Web sites are just one vertical market for Schooner but an important one given their intense need for speed, reliability and high availability.
